The Community School of the Arts' Youth Orchestra is a youth orchestra program geared for students between 5th –12th grades. Our programs include a “play-up” group for students with less experience, and the opportunity for all students to play in an orchestra made up of students from the wider community in a fun environment. Our current offerings are geared primarily for string players, with expansion into a full orchestra in the near future! Led by ISU orchestra conductor Dr. Erik Rohde, students will learn ensemble skills and hone their playing ability to become deeper musicians. Scholarships are available for students based on need (must be on free or reduced lunch plans at school to qualify). Join us for our exciting second season of the Community School of the Arts Youth Orchestra!
